Departmental chess tournament in Bordeaux

Highlight of the season, the Young Individual Chess Championship was organized this year by AGJA Echiquier d & rsquo; Aquitaine this Sunday 13 December 2015. Given the large number of participants , this XXL tournament took place on two neighboring sites, in Bordeaux Caudéran.

The youngest, pupil chicks, had an appointment in the room of AGJA in Bordeaux Caudéran, espace Rossetti, avenue de Lattre de Tassigny. The biggest, from juniors to juniors, as well as the pupils (elderly of 11 at 13 years) also played at the Chartreuse Saint André, at 5 minutes from the club on foot.

The relaxed but serious atmosphere that this place exuded was enough to impress these young people. “bitten” failures, however, the atmosphere lent itself to competition without putting too much pressure on them.

Logistics side, this event was also a major challenge which illustrates the good dynamics of chess in Gironde. This edition, this is the volunteer team of Agja Echiquier Aquitaine, supported by the Departmental Chess Committee 33, who got down to it. Between communication, equipment, refreshment bar, arbitrage, thirty worker ants are busy behind the scenes.

In the front of the scene, the style and personality of aspiring champions differ.

So, we find clever jumble, creatives, of patients(...)s or determined(...)s looking for a qualifying place for the Aquitaine Championships. The best(...)even dream of pushing the adventure to the French Youth Championships during the Easter holidays.

A sporting competition therefore ... but not only. Chess can also be a game of exchange, with an intergenerational dimension.
