A bike against a phone
Il y a deux mois que la ville de Washington a lancé cette opération. Pour utiliser ces velib américains à Washington (chinese actually), the procedure goes through a mobile phone application. Les vélos libres à proximité dans la ville de Washington apparaissent sur une carte et il suffit de scanner le code QR imprimé sur le châssis pour désactiver l’antivol, placed on the rear wheel. Once use is complete, le cycliste gare le vélo et remet l’antivol. Un dollar par demi-heure d’utilisation, reduced price for students.
Behind this system, eco-friendly at least, is the Chinese giant Mobike, Chinese bicycle manufacturer

We are entitled to ask the question: how and under what conditions are these bikes made? Environmentally friendly to the end?
