L’Arena, the new Bordeaux concert hall, on rails…
Two big points in common between the Depeche Mode concert, from wednesday 24 January 2018 and the Charles Aznavour concert (94 years in may), Saturday 27 January 2018.
First (and that is not the least of the parameters for those who were waiting for the event), the sun was there. One would almost have thought that this exceptional weather had been ordered by the fans and the organizers. Especially since the weeks leading up to these first two concerts, the weather had been terrible.
On the other hand, il s’agissait de deux artistes d’espèces “en voie d’espérance de survie” de la chanson et de la musique.
The first ones, Depeche Mode, internationally known and adored by people, in their fifties and having danced to their songs over the years 80, represent a whole generation of ex-teens.
The second is alone, The French song. It symbolizes a certain value (and a certain value) from France (music, lyrics…), wiser and more traditional and nevertheless full of emotions.
The surroundings of the new Bordeaux-Floirac room, l’Arena, found themselves completely transformed according to the guest artist: crowds and waiting several tens of hours for some, several hours for most of the spectators who came for the Depeche Mode group and for the inauguration of the Bordeaux hall Arena, Wednesday.
The Esplanade de l & rsquo; Arena was much wiser, even deserted a few hours before the concert.
Opinions differ on the use and number of parking spaces in the vicinity and their effectiveness…
To follow for next concerts to come up.
